Wild Goose Island

Wild Goose Island is my favorite place to see in Glacier National Park. Wild Goose Island may just be one overlook, but it was what made me want to go here. You see the movie The Shining was on AMC, and I really like Halloween, so I watched it and I saw the mountains. Then I looked up the filming and saw Glacier National Park and I really wanted to go so I convinced everyone to go. Now that you know the story of my journey, I should probably tell you how to get there.

The 2 Places We Stayed In Glacier National Park

The first pace we stayed at was the Mini Golden Inn. The Mini Golden Inn was a wonderful stay. It was further than the Great Northern but had a tv and a shower since most of the rooms if not all are handicap accessible and the laundry room is in the middle of the inn, so it is easily accessed.

Trail of the Cedars and Avalanche Lake Hike

When you are in the West Side of Glacier National Park you should do Trail of the Cedars and if you have time Avalanche Lake. Trail of the Cedars is a boardwalk trail that takes you through a beautiful cedar forest. At the end you have a very scenic glacier blue waterfall, and another tourist told us to look for circles in the rocks. This is where you can go up to Avalanche Lake. The Avalanche Lake trail is a varied up and down trail. At the end you get in a thick area, and we saw a deer walk right past us. Then you get to the lake which doesn't seem deep,i waded in it more than halfway through, but it is 50 something feet deep according to google so be careful. The trail can get tiring so I would consider it a moderately hard hike.
